Hydrangea serrata 'Veerle'

An interesting variety because of its early and abundant flowering

This is a real improvement on the 'Hydrangea serrata yezohensi, 'Veerle' stands out through its big, flat inflorescences of flowers that are fertile in the center and sterile on the margin. It is very interesting because of the early and abundant flowering in sustained colours (pink or blue in acid soil), and a wilting in old pink to deep purple. In order to provoque a second flowering under good conditions, prune right after the first one.
The deep green foliage, typical for a serrata, brings a beautiful colour to autumn.
Beautiful dense plant.
The plant is hardy and adapts to all kinds of positions except full sun.
